Terms of Service

1. The service

Snartek is an app and network service that shows readings from LoRaWAN sensors you have bought from Wifigate AS (“we”) and added to your account. These terms apply when you create a Snartek account or use the app or website.

2. Your account

You must give a valid email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person may hold one account; a household or business may share sensors under one account. Wall tablets can be given a view-only access that cannot change anything.

3. Devices

A sensor or gateway can be attached to one account at a time. You attach it by scanning or entering its identifier and pressing its button; you detach it in the app. When you sell or give a device away, remove it from your account first – the new owner cannot add it until you do. We only accept devices sold by us, so that every sensor has a known, supported profile.

4. Plans and payment

Every account starts on the Free plan. Paid plans add more devices, longer history and alerts, and are billed per month as agreed in writing with us. Prices are in NOK including VAT. You can cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the paid period.

5. What you may not do

Do not attempt to add devices you do not own, interfere with the radio network, probe the service for weaknesses, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability and limits

We aim for the service to be available around the clock, but it is provided “as is”. Radio coverage, battery life and sensor accuracy vary with placement and environment. Snartek is a convenience and information service: it is not a safety, alarm or medical system, and you must not rely on it as the only protection against frost, water damage, food spoilage or intrusion.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, our liability for any loss caused by the service is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect loss such as damaged goods or property caused by an alert that did not arrive.

8. Your data

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Readings from your sensors belong to you; you can export them at any time and delete your account with all its data.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or immediately in case of misuse.

10. Law and disputes

Norwegian law applies. Consumers may bring complaints to Forbrukerrådet; otherwise disputes go to the courts of Wifigate AS's registered office.
